Spendesk is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (IC3) to join the AI & Data Products squad in Barcelona. You will design, build, and operate backend services powering AI-native features, ML-driven capabilities, and automation across Spendesk’s product journeys.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work with ML Engineers to productionize predictive logic, expose it via robust APIs, and ensure reliability, observability, and secure deployment in production environments.

Formación

• Significant backend software engineering experience in production environments.
• Proven track record shipping reliable backend services with measurable impact.
• Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to ML-enabled or AI-enabled product features is a strong plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs powering AI-driven product capabilities.
• Translate AI outputs into reliable backend behaviors for user-facing workflows.
• Ensure production-readiness with deployment ownership, monitoring, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end AI features.
