A recruitment agency is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to build and maintain automations for client projects. The ideal candidate has experience with Make.com or similar platforms and hands-on skills in OpenAI API. This remote position offers a workload of 50-100% and requires strong problem-solving skills along with excellent written communication in English. The role starts in January 2026 and lasts for 6 months.

For our client in Zürich we are currently looking for an AI Automation Engineer

• Start : January 2026
• Duration : 6 months
• Workload : Starting 50-100%
• Location : Remote

Role Overview

Build, optimise, and maintain Make.com / n8n automations and GPT-based agents for client projects in education, public sector, and industry — bridging business logic with generative AI capabilities.

Required skills

• 1 year experience with Make.com or similar automation platforms (Zapier, n8n)
• Hands‑on skills in OpenAI API / Azure OpenAI Service, including JSON‑structured outputs. Experience with agentic set‑ups is a plus
• Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and data transformation
• Familiarity with Airtable and / or Power BI data environments
• Ability to debug and document scenarios systematically
• Excellent written communication in English, German is a plus.
• Structured and reliable delivery style

Nice‑to‑have

• Experience with Azure AI Studio, Prompt Flow, or RAG setups in Azure, Pinecone etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Some Python or JavaScript scripting for edge cases
