Digital Waffle is hiring an AI Agent Engineer to build the first dedicated agent platform for a high-volume editorial and licensing operation. You will design and ship production LLM agents, build the supporting platform, and integrate with existing systems to automate repetitive workflows.

You will work with editorial, research and commercial teams to identify what to automate, implement guardrails, and manage costs and latency.

Formación

• 3+ years commercial software engineering experience with TypeScript; PHP background preferred.
• Built and shipped at least one LLM-powered feature or agent into production.
• Practical grasp of function/tool calling, RAG, vector databases, structured output, prompt engineering, and context management.
• Comfortable with at least one agent framework or SDK and understanding of abstractions.
• Strong API and integration experience for plumbing agents into existing systems.
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS, GCP or Azure) and standard engineering hygiene.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and ship production LLM agents against real editorial, rights, archive, and commercial workflows.
• Build the shared platform underneath the agents including orchestration, tool integrations, retrieval, and monitoring.
• Integrate agents with the archive, submission portal, clips platform and internal tooling.
• Collaborate with editorial, research and commercial teams to identify automations and define trustworthy criteria.
• Develop evaluation and guardrails to measure agent output with human review at key points.
• Own cost and latency, balancing model spend with work replaced.
• Document and hand over to avoid single-person dependency; contribute to platform stability.
