Technical University of Cartagena invites applications for a First Stage Researcher position in the field of Design and Development of DECT NR+ Communications for Agriculture, including Digital Twins and AI modules for optimization. The role is full-time at Felipe Hall Laboratory, with a 35-hour week and a gross annual salary of 26,071.36 euros.

The contract is indefinite, with a budget-dependent duration and a start date intended from 14/09/2026.

Formación

  • Academic background in Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
  • Specialization in Data and AI: Python, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science.
  • Experience with 3D digital models and IoT sensors/communications.
  • Languages: B2 or higher in English.
  • Other relevant qualifications related to the job profile may be considered.

Responsabilidades

  • Review and monitor state of the art on digital twins in agrivoltaic greenhouses.
  • Review XR technologies for digital twins in agrivoltaic greenhouses.
  • Monitor greenhouses via IoT networks.
  • Design and implement a configurable control panel for digital twins.
  • Evaluate the configurable digital twin in pilot greenhouse.
  • Design and implement extended reality representation for hydroponic greenhouse.
  • Evaluate the XR system in pilot greenhouse.
  • Develop AI module to improve crop/energy duality performance.
  • Test and validate the complete system and optimize greenhouse operations.
  • Disseminate results.
