Job summary

Persán, a multinational home care and personal care producer, is seeking an Agricultural Engineer Specialist to support management and development of agricultural assets across our farming operations. You will work with internal teams and external service providers to improve efficiency and growth.

The role requires a university degree in agricultural fields, 1–2 years on farm operations, strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, and willingness to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal.

Qualifications

• University degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in agricultural operations, farm management, crop production, or a similar field-based role.
• Solid understanding of agricultural practices and crop management.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• Availability to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal.
• Proactive mindset, hands‑on approach, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day management of agricultural operations across multiple farms.
• Oversee fertilization, crop protection treatments, pruning, irrigation, and other field operations.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and monitor operating expenditures.
• Prepare reports on operational, agronomic, and environmental factors affecting farm performance and budget execution.
• Collaborate in assessing new agricultural investments and development projects.
• Contribute to improving farm management practices through data analysis and operational monitoring.
• Maintain accurate reporting using Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel.

Mission and Key Responsibilities

As an Agricultural Engineer Specialist, you will support the management, transformation, and development of agricultural assets while ensuring the efficient operation of farms currently under exploitation. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers, contributing to both operational performance and future growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and oversee the day-to-day management of agricultural operations across multiple farms.
• Supervise and follow up on agricultural activities such as fertilization, crop protection treatments, pruning, irrigation, and other field operations.
• Coordinate and monitor the performance of external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and participate in the monitoring and control of operational expenditures.
• Prepare reports on operational, agronomic, and environmental factors that may impact farm performance and budget execution.
• Collaborate in the assessment and analysis of new agricultural investment opportunities and development projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of farm management practices through data analysis and operational monitoring.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation using Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel.

Main Requirements

• University Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in agricultural operations, farm management, crop production, or a similar field-based role.
• Solid understanding of agricultural practices and crop management.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
