Job summary

Emd Group is seeking an Agentic AI Platform Engineer in Spain to join a cloud-native team focused on scalable AI-enabled systems. You will build and operate a Kubernetes-based platform on Amazon EKS, enabling teams to deploy AI agents securely at enterprise scale.

You will design identity and isolation, integrate AI models with enterprise services, and contribute to observability, testing, and production readiness. Strong English communication and mentoring are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building secure, scalable cloud native backends at enterprise scale.
• Strong AWS experience across EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB, Route 53, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, S3.
• Production Python, API integrations, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, and least-privilege access.
• Experience with generative AI or agentic systems and tool integrations.
• Excellent English communication in cross-functional, international teams.

Your Role : At the intersection of cloud engineering and artificial intelligence, this role puts you at the center of building the infrastructure that makes intelligent, autonomous systems possible at enterprise scale. As an Agentic AI Platform Engineer, you will focus on the design, evolution, and operation of a cloud native platform that enables teams across the organization to build, orchestrate, and run AI agents reliably and securely. Your work directly accelerates research and development outcomes that matter to patients and scientists worldwide. You will build and evolve major components of a multi tenant Kubernetes platform on Amazon EKS, driving end to end accountability from infrastructure provisioning through production operations. You will design and implement identity and tenant isolation, secure integrations with AI models and enterprise services, and the observability and evaluation frameworks that keep agentic workloads performant and trustworthy. Writing production Python, authoring Terraform modules and Helm charts, and building GitOps driven pipelines will be core to your daily work.

Beyond delivery, you will set technical standards, establish reusable platform patterns, and mentor fellow engineers, shaping the engineering culture of a global team that values quality, ownership, and continuous improvement. You will act as a senior technical advisor on cross functional initiatives, bringing deep expertise to decisions that influence the long term direction of the platform.

Who You Are

• You bring 8 or more years of hands on experience building secure, scalable, resilient cloud native backend systems at enterprise scale, with deep expertise in production Kubernetes platforms, preferably Amazon EKS, covering RBAC, networking, ingress, autoscaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• You have strong AWS platform engineering experience across EKS, IAM and workload identity, VPC and private connectivity, ALB, Route 53, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and S3, combined with proven Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practice using Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Argo CD, and Git.
• You write production quality Python, including API integration, automated testing, and operational automation, and have built or governed CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps.
• You have practical experience with OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, least privilege access, tenant isolation, and Kubernetes RBAC, and you apply these principles to design secure, governed integrations across enterprise platforms.
• You have hands on experience building or operating generative AI or agentic systems, including tool integration, state and memory management, evaluation, observability, and failure handling, with familiarity with MCP and agent to agent service patterns being a strong advantage.
• You communicate with clarity and confidence in English, business fluent, written and spoken, and thrive in cross functional, international, environments where collaboration and continuous learning are the norm.
