Amentum seeks an AGE Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of Aerospace Ground Equipment on Diego Garcia. The role requires supervising a dedicated AGE team and providing technical expertise in diagnosing and modifying equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, and ensuring safety and compliance. US Navy program experience and international travel readiness are preferred.

Formación

  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience in AGE maintenance, repair, or modification.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve AGE-related technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in AGE.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.
  • Passport valid for international travel; eligible for visas as required.
  • Must meet medical, security, and deployment requirements.

Responsabilidades

  • Document maintenance activities per requirements.
  • Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Act as main contact for AGE queries with management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure PPE use and zero-injury safety culture.

Amentum is seeking an AGE Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. TheAGE Supervisoris responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), ensuring all assets meet safety, reliability, and performance standards. This role also involves supervising a dedicated AGE team and providing technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and modifying equipment. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervising the operations and daily maintenance of AGE systems covered under this contract or related equipment.
  • Advising, diagnosing, and resolving issuesrelated to AGE, ensuring all equipment operates within approved guidelines and standards.
  • Overseeing therepair, maintenance, and modificationof AGE assets, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Implementing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring adherence to established maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Supporting troubleshooting activities forelectrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsto ensure equipment reliability.
  • Training and mentoring AGE technicians to improve their technical skills and ensure high-quality maintenance operations.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring the availability of required tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Monitoring and documenting all AGE maintenance and servicing activities in compliance with operational requirements and record-keeping standards.
  • Developing and enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for AGE-related operational queries and communicating effectively with management and stakeholders.
  • Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum offour (4) years of experiencein the maintenance, repair, and modification of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) or similar equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AGE systems.
  • Strong technical knowledgeofelectrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemswithin AGE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or operational environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and guidelines for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport must be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.
  • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of technical training, certification, or an apprenticeship program related to Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE).
  • Prior military experience managing AGE equipment within a government or military operations framework.
  • Familiarity with applicable safety and environmental compliance standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • Experience working in anOCONUS (Outside the Continental United States)or remote/austere environment.
  • Ability to utilize maintenance management systems and software for reporting and inventory tracking.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
