A global technology company is seeking an Aerodynamics UAV Engineer to design, develop, and optimize UAV systems and components. This role involves aerodynamic design, preparation of technical documentation, and execution of UAV test plans. Candidates should have a degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering, a minimum of 3 years of experience in UAV platforms, and proficiency in design and simulation tools. The position is based in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) and offers a collaborative environment.

Formación

We are looking for a Aerodynamics UAV Engineer with the mission to design, develop and optimize UAV systems and components.

Tasks to be performed

• Aerodynamic design of UAV platforms, both fixed-wing and rotary-wing.
• Knowledge of aerodynamic simulation tools (XFLR5 / FLUENT / OPENFOAM) is highly valued.
• Preparation of technical and manufacturing documentation for UAV platforms.
• Preparation and execution of UAV test plans, both in the laboratory and in flight.

Required skills, experience and candidate profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in UAV platforms.
• Experience with Catia or SolidWorks design software.
• Knowledge of aerodynamic calculations and flight mechanics is essential.
• Experience with Matlab, Python or similar software environments for aircraft modelling.
• Knowledge of assembly, manufacturing and maintenance processes for UAV platforms.
• Knowledge of drone piloting is valued.
• Knowledge of aerodynamic simulation tools (XFLR5 / FLUENT / OPENFOAM) is valued.
• Level B2-C1 English.
