Research line: Water and nitrogen managemnet in cropping systems
Tasks: Plant and soil sampling and pre-processing, Elaboration of yield maps from combiner data, Satelite and aerial image acquisitio and preprocessing, Building datasets, Data analysis and model adjustment

ADTINS: Dual agroecological and digital transition to improve nitrogen use efficiency and soil protection in agricultural systems.

Specific Requirements

Experience in handling images.
Experience in using information from aerial and ground-level sensors.
Experience in preparing yield maps.
Knowledge of the processes of extracting data from sensors and analyzing the results.

High level of English and Spanish.

Residence in Spain / valid work and residence permits

The person hired will join the management team and gain insight into the research, training, and knowledge transfer activities conducted at CEIGRAM. CEIGRAM—the Center for Studies and Research on the Management of Agricultural and Environmental Risks—is one of the 19 research centers at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), which is the leading Spanish university of technology. CEIGRAM serves as a reference point and a hub for knowledge generation, conducting research and developing methodologies to address growing concerns regarding risk management strategies—covering production, market, and environmental risks—facing the agricultural sector. The person hired will benefit from training activities organized for all researchers and management team members.

SELECTION CRITERIA: 1. EVALUATION ROUND: Maximum total assessment sum A+B+C+D (0: does not comply / 5: meets the required profile) A) Training; B) Computer Skills; C) Specific requirements: experience, other aspects to be assessed; D) languages. E) Adaptation to functions, line of research and tasks = Average of the assigned rating of 0-5 in the degree of relationship between the CV and the profile sought.
