Offer Description

  • TYPE OF CONTRACT: Indefinite.
  • PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: GROUP I. University Graduate.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING. For degrees obtained abroad (including those from the EU), applicants must provide proof that they have obtained the corresponding recognition or, where applicable, the credential attesting to the equivalence of their degree.
  • WEEKLY DEDICATION: The position will be full time, and the workweek will be 35 hours, carried out from Monday to Friday, from 9h to 16h.
  • GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee will receive an annual gross salary of 30,958.48 euros.
  • PROJECT TITLE: Management, processing, and valorization of agricultural and livestock byproducts, and bioremediation of degraded soils.
  • DURATION: The term of this contract will be contingent upon the availability of budgetary funds for the aforementioned line of research.
  • Current R&D&I activity: “Sustainable Technologies for the Management of Swine Effluents and Their Use as Fertilizers in the Mar Menor Area (GMM1)”, funded by the Biodiversity Foundation, F.S.P., as part of the competitive grant program aimed at restoring the ecological functionality of the Mar Menor through environmental improvements in livestock farming, and the Framework of Priority Actions to Restore the Mar Menor (MAPMM).
  • INTENDED DATE OF DEPUTY EMPLOYMENT: immediate.
Tasks to be carried out
  • Sampling and analysis of soil, manure, water, and plants.
  • Monitoring of agronomic trials and manure treatment efficiency.
  • Measurement of atmospheric emissions.
  • Project-related reports.

PLACE OF WORK: GARSA-UPCT Laboratories and Facilities.

Merits to be assessed and evaluation criteria
  • Academic Background (40%): The academic record corresponding to the degree required for the position will be evaluated, as well as doctoral-level studies related to the project’s subject matter.
  • Specific Training (5%): Training and continuing education courses that are directly related to the project’s subject matter.
  • Professional experience (40%): In sampling and analysis of soil, water, plants, and waste. Experience in: chemical and biochemical properties and biological parameters of soils, and in bioremediation.
  • Languages (5%): English, at a level sufficient for reading and writing scientific articles.
  • Other merits (5%): Other activities related to the job profile: courses taught, volunteer work, etc.
  • Personal interview (5%): An interview designed to assess the candidate’s suitability for the job profile and duties.
