Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join the Finance team. You will manage the full AR cycle, ensure accurate billing, monitor collections, and keep customer accounts in good standing.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 3 years in AR, and strong Excel/ERP skills. English fluency is essential, Spanish is desirable. Excellent organizational and communication abilities are expected in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable best practices.
• Excellent analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle including invoicing and recording receipts.
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients timely.
• Reconcile customer accounts and statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor overdue accounts and manage collections.
• Collaborate with Sales and Guest Services to resolve billing queries.
• Prepare aging reports and AR-related metrics.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with policies.
