VERBUND Green Power Iberia in Madrid seeks a competent Accountant for a temporary position to ensure accurate accounting across local subsidiaries. You will maintain the general ledger, prepare month-end closings, and support tax declarations in line with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, IFRS/Spanish GAAP knowledge, strong Excel and SAP experience, and good English. On-site work in Madrid with a focus on compliance and financial integrity.

Formación

• Degree in administration, finance or accounting; professional accounting experience preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years in accounting departments.
• IFRS and Spanish Local GAAP knowledge a plus.
• MS Office proficient, especially Excel; SAP experience.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Residence in Madrid and willingness to work on site.
• Interest in the renewable energy transition.

Responsabilidades

• Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger per accounting principles and reporting schedules.
• Elaborate the reporting package for the parent company.
• Monthly closing activities and final reporting according to Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Intercompany balance reconciliation.
• Calculate corporate tax and deferred tax.
• Assist tax expert with Spanish taxes and SII declarations.
• Asset accounting and preparation of local annual financial statements.
• Coordinate with external audit and ensure master data in SAP FI.
• Support controlling team and report to governmental agencies.
• Manage weekly expense postings and payments.
• Update accounting manuals and guidelines.
