Puig seeks an Accountant Executive to support a company or group of companies in Barcelona. You will oversee the general ledger, monthly closings, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group accounting rules.

The role reports to the Group Accounting Manager within Global Finance Services. Key responsibilities include cash forecasting, tax obligations, statutory reporting, and coordinating audits.

Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Fluent Spanish and English; Greek fluent.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office; familiarity with European accounting rules preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage monthly closing process and reporting for period ends.
• Oversee Balance Sheet controls and ensure accuracy per group standards.
• Conduct liquidity planning with monthly cash forecasting.
• Handle taxes and tax reporting obligations timely.
• Lead internal and external audits and statutory reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager and as part of Global Finance Services in Barcelona, the Accountant Executive will support a company or group of companies for all financial questions. This role supports and supervises the general ledger and main financial information.

Responsibilities

• Monthly closing process & Reporting – Execute all accounting activities related to month, quarter and year end close; ensure tasks completed per procedures and group accounting rules; manage quarterly inter‑company reconcilations.
• Balance Sheet control – Ensure Balance Sheet statements contain reliable and accurate information per Group and Statutory standards.
• Liquidity planning – Monthly cash forecasting and deviations analysis.
• Taxes – Timely accomplishment of all company tax obligations and tax reporting; tax accounting.
• Audit process and Statutory Reporting – Lead audit process with internal and external auditors; maintain a second set of accounting books to ensure Statutory Reporting according with local standards.
• Budgeting & Forecasting process – Balance Sheet and cash budgeting and forecasting; support local controller on subsidiary planning, budgeting & forecasting process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3‑5 years experience in a similar position.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Languages: Spanish, English (fluent); Greek (fluent).
• Competencies: flexible and motivated; ability to work in fast‑paced, multicultural environment; autonomous; strong communication and analytical skills; adaptable to changes.
• Specific knowledge: Mastering SAP and MS Office; knowledge of European accounting rules preferred.
