Job summary

Cibernos is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Valencia-based Finance team. The role supports accounting operations across multiple European entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and timely closing activities.

The position involves working with local and international teams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a hybrid 3-days-office / 2-days-remote schedule in Valencia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 4-5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Audit.
• English Level C1 mandatory; daily communication in English.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Experience supporting statutory audits.
• Ability to prepare, post, and reconcile accounting entries and financial records.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with international teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate accounting and recording of transactions based on contracts, invoices, bank statements, and tax assessments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review portfolio financial performance, including rental income, operating expenses, G&A, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare management reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Support compliance requirements, including VAT filings, tax returns, and financial reporting obligations.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and related-party balances.
• Ensure timely execution of intragroup service agreements and cost recharges.
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party service providers.
• Participate in strategic projects, including acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing activities.

About the Role

Requirements

• English Level C1 (mandatory). The role operates in an international environment and requires daily communication in English.

• Previous experience supporting statutory audits.
• Proven ability to prepare, post, and reconcile accounting entries and financial records.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
