As a Chemist & Technical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting technical development, product validation, and customer success across polymeric materials applications, including Polyurethane Viscoelastic Foam (VEF) for home applications and injection-molded sample preparation. Reporting to the Overseas Technical Support Manager, you will collaborate with polymer researchers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure efficient technical operations and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Polyurethane Viscoelastic Foam (Home Applications)
- Provide professional and timely technical support to polyurethane downstream home application customers.
- Deliver effective technical services during product line tests.
- Diagnose and resolve quality and technical issues efficiently; support customers in troubleshooting and manage complaints.
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop new customers, conduct factory trials, and support achievement of sales targets.
- Gather market intelligence on customer needs and industry developments.
- Share insights to support R&D and sales in product improvement, business development, and customer management.
Injection Molding & Laboratory Management
- Operate injection molding machines to prepare sample bars / slices and ensure high sample quality.
- Oversee the daily operation and future expansion of the polymeric material evaluation platform.
- Assist in customer mold trials, sample validation, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth product adoption.
- Train new employees and interns in polymer sample preparation and property evaluation.
- Generate professional reports on mold trials, sample validation, and material testing.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Official Master’s degree (Bologna) or Engineering degree in Polymers, Material Science, or related fields (Polyurethanes preferred; coursework in Plastics / Injection Molding is a plus).
Experience
- 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in polyurethane viscoelastic foam for home applications.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in injection molding and polymer testing.
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with Moldflow analysis is a plus.
Lab Expertise
- Understanding of chemical laboratory procedures, polymer testing, and safety protocols.
Languages
- Advanced English (mandatory).
Travel
- Willingness to travel internationally for business (50%+).
Language Requirement
As an international company, fluency in English is essential to communicate effectively in a global working environment.
