Schneider Electric is offering a hands‑on 2nd Year Apprentice position in electrotechnology at its Services division. You’ll learn from industry professionals, gaining a nationally recognised Trade Qualification while supporting 24/7 servicing for hospitals, utilities and data centers.

Two site options exist in Malaga and O’Connor; applicants must have Year 12, a Certificate II in Electrotechnology, a driver’s license, and the right to work in Australia. PPE and training fees are provided.

Formación

• Plan and measure wiring layouts.
• Test, diagnose and repair electrical problems and breakdowns.
• Install, troubleshoot and commission electrical and electronic assets.
• Connect equipment to power supplies and understand Building Management Systems.

About the Role

Our host employer, Schneider Electric, is currently seeking a 2nd Year Apprentice to join their diverse Servicesbusiness which provides 24/7 servicing for: hospitals, utilities, data centers, support for the resources sector and just about everything in-between. The Schneider Electric portfolio covers UPS, critical cooling equipment, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, substation monitoring as well as a wide range of ancillary equipment. They enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations.

Their team of Service Representatives are "Wired Differently". They get up early, travel far and tackle the toughest problems on the fly. They thrive on independence, problem-solving and making a real impact – every single day.

This hands‑on Apprenticeship will see you learning from passionate professionals as you develop your skills and gain a nationally recognised Trade Qualification.

Skills you will develop

• Building an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements
• Planning and measuring the layout of wiring systems
• Test, find, and repair electrical problems and breakdowns
• Install, troubleshoot and commission electrical and electronic assets
• Connect electrical equipment to power supplies
• Coding and a focus on Building Management Systems

Location

Two opportunities exist for Schneider’s Malagaand O’Connor sites. Please list in your Cover Letter which site you are applying for.

Hours of Work

Monday – Friday, 8.00am– 4.00pm (negotiable)

About You

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
• Driver’s License and reliable transport
• Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology
