Job summary

Freyrecruitment is seeking an experienced 2nd Stewardess to join a private yacht program based in Palma for the winter season. You will take responsibility for the interior day-to-day running while closely coordinating with the Chief Stewardess.

The role includes overseeing the 3rd Stewardess, managing daily and weekly work lists, provisioning, inventories, uniforms and interior organisation. A driver’s licence and STCW/ENG1 are required, with preference for previous 2nd Stewardess experience.

Job description

A 45m motor yacht is seeking an experienced 2nd Stewardess to join a private program currently based in Palma for the winter.

This is a slightly different 2nd Stewardess position, offering the opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the interior while working closely with an experienced Chief Stewardess-.

The Chief Stewardess will be working on a 2:2 rotation, spending time both onboard and working remotely during her leave periods. She will also return for all owner trips joining ahead of trips to assist with preparations and remaining onboard throughout. The 2nd Stewardess will therefore take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the interior in her absence, while maintaining regular communication and following the Chief Stewardess's guidance.

The role will include overseeing the 3rd Stewardess, managing daily and weekly work lists, crew provisioning, inventories, uniforms and general interior organisation. The Chief Stewardess will continue to handle much of the guest provisioning and planning, so good communication and accurate record-keeping will be important to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The yacht will spend the winter in the yard in Palma, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to settle into the program and receive thorough training ahead of the summer season. The Chief Stewardess will work closely with the interior team during this period to establish routines, standards and expectations for owner trips.

They are looking for someone organised, proactive and confident taking responsibility for the interior while remaining comfortable working under the direction of the Chief Stewardess. Previous 2nd Stewardess experience would be ideal, particularly someone who enjoys training and guiding a more junior team member. A positive attitude, good communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential.

A driver's licence is required due to the provisioning and shore-based responsibilities involved.
