Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) invites applications for a lifelong learning project technician contract. The successful candidate will provide technical management support to the head of lifelong learning in implementing training programmes, manage the Lifelong Learning website, and write documents on lifelong learning at the UIB.

Responsibilities include managing the Moodle platform, collaborating with lecturers, taking part in meetings to meet goals, and promoting training activities

A lifelong learning project technician contract.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide technical management support to the head of lifelong learning in implementing training programmes
• Manage the Lifelong Learning website
• Write documents on lifelong learning at the UIB
• Manage the Moodle platform, including programming courses, uploading resources and solving minor technical issues
• Collaborate with lecturers and experts in online content adaptation
• Take part in internal and external team meetings to ensure the relevant goals are fulfilled
• Take part in promoting training activities for academic staff.

Candidates must hold a degree in journalism, audiovisual communication, educational technology, elearning, staff training or educational innovation, or a different qualification accrediting their skills and experience in developing online resources for professional training or upskilling.

Particular consideration will be given to candidates holding a postgraduate degree in digital education, training of trainers, equality, communication, marketing, project management or pedagogical innovation.

Specific Requirements

Candidates must be able to use learning platforms (particularly Moodle) or be willing to take up the necessary skills to do so as quickly as possible.

• Developing blended resources (face-to-face and online).

Eligibility criteria

• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).
• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).
• Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).
• Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).
• Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters.

Eligibility threshold: 60 points.

Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non-EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non-EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring. The equivalence can be requested from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain.

Selection process

In accordance with article 8 of the REGULATORY AGREEMENT 145140 of 15th June 2022 that approves the regulation governing the recruitment of research staff under chapter 6 allocation of the university budget, as well as technical or operational research staff.

Selection comitee

1. i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research (or person s/he delegates), as chair.
2. ii. The management team for the relevant department.
3. iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).
4. iv. Three experts in the field pertaining to recruitment, where appropriate, appointed by the chair of the committee, having heard from the management team of the department.
5. v. The head of the Management Office for the Research Promotion and Human Resources Programme (or person s/he delegates), acting as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
