Accounting Trainee (European Team)

Overview

Otsuka Pharmaceutical is a Japanese multinational healthcare company with a guiding motto: ‘Otsuka - people creating products for better health in the world’. We research and market innovative products to address unmet medical needs and nutraceutical products for everyday health maintenance. From the pharmaceutical division, we focus mainly on the areas of Mental Health and Nephrology.

We are now looking for a Trainee for the European Shared Service Team based in Barcelona, who will collaborate with a team of professionals who deliver service to various affiliates across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Receives, process and accurately validate suppliers invoices
• Resolve invoice errors and / or discrepancies to ensure timely processing of invoices.
• Maintain excellent supplier relation by serving as a primary point of contact for departmental and supplier inquiries.
• Collaborate with the preparation of the payment cycle in accordance with the defined internal control frame.

Qualifications

• Possibility to be a trainee (currently studying to make a scholarship agreement) during 6 to 12 months
• High level of English and Spanish is indispensable.
• General knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger and purchasing processes.
• We are looking for a person who is a genuine team player, open to change and flexible, with the capacity to learn different tasks and ways of working

More about the role

• Possibility to work 3 days in the office (Barcelona) / 2 days from home
• Part Time. 5 to 6 working hours. Mornings. Flexible schedule.
