About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud Security Operations Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity and cloud operations team.

You will be at the forefront of securing our organization’s cloud infrastructure and services — monitoring, detecting, and mitigating threats in real time.

Your mission: ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all cloud-hosted systems and data, while continuously enhancing our security posture.

Profile Overview

  • Experience: 3–7 years in cybersecurity or cloud operations
  • Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud-native security tools and services
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR
  • Cloud Platforms: Solid understanding of AWS and / or Azure, including solution design and deployment

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and shared responsibility models
  • Proficiency with SIEM and EDR tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Defender)
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Policy-as-Code for automated security controls
  • Knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, WAFs, etc.)
  • Experience with container security and Kubernetes hardening
  • Minimum 2 years of DevSecOps experience
  • Proven experience in cloud environments (AWS and / or Azure)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Ruby, YAML, KQL, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC automation

Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Security Specialty
  • Knowledge of secure CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills — able to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement
  • Experience with incident response and crisis management

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field

Equivalent professional experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education

  • Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, OpenPaas
  • Security Tools:
  • SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel), EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender), CSPM, CWPP
  • DevOps & Automation:
  • Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
