Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in Denmark seeks a hands-on wind turbine controller engineer to contribute to early-stage development. You will use MATLAB and aeroelastic tools to tune controllers, review results, and coordinate with Turbine Loads, Software, Certification, Testing, and component design teams.

Some prototype work may occur at our Østerild test site. You will work with experienced colleagues, applying engineering judgment to identify next steps and ensuring progress is effectively communicated

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Control/Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to critique results and raise concerns when something doesn’t add up.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Tune wind turbine controllers using aeroelastic simulations and engineering analysis.
• Analyze simulation and test results to understand loads, performance and behavior.
• Support development of new controller functionalities from early simulations to prototype validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering tools, reports, methods and processes and help implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Turbine Loads, Certification, Testing, Software, and component design teams and communicate progress clearly.
