Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a Control Centre Operator in Esbjerg, Denmark, to monitor wind assets and support 24/7 operations across onshore and offshore sites. You will respond to alarms, plan switching operations under WESR, manage permits, and maintain clear communication with internal teams and authorities.

Applicants should have electrical or wind turbine technical training, experience in electrical systems or wind operations, and strong Danish and English skills.

Qualifications

• Has a technical education as an electrician, wind turbine technician, or similar.
• Has experience with electrical systems or wind turbine operations – control room experience an advantage.
• Thrives with shift work and staying calm under pressure.
• Good IT skills and able to navigate digital systems confidently.
• Speaks and writes fluent Danish and English.
• Has a strong safety focus and works systematically and collaboratively.
• Can make independent decisions and communicate clearly with colleagues and partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize wind turbines and transformer stations in real time.
• Respond quickly to alarms and unforeseen errors to minimize downtime.
• Plan and perform switching operations under Wind Electrical Safety Rules (WESR).
• Handle permits and ensure proper return to normal operation after maintenance or incidents.
• Ensure open communication with internal teams and external authorities during daily operations and incidents.
• Prepare precise operational reports and contribute to grid balance coordination.
• Identify and share opportunities for process improvements across the organization.
