Job summary

Vattenfall seeks a Wind Farm System Designer to turn complex data into decisions shaping Europe’s offshore wind future. You’ll define design economics, work with interdisciplinary experts, and perform techno-economic analyses that influence investments worth billions.

You will develop offshore wind designs, optimize energy cost, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. A strong background in engineering, data science, and English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• Experience in technical/innovation-driven or cost-engineering environments
• Strong problem-solving and ability to translate complex info to business insights
• Interest in renewable energy and offshore wind experience is a plus
• Interest in Python and applying AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Perform techno-economic assessments to evaluate offshore wind farm concepts and support project decisions
• Develop offshore wind farm designs balancing energy production, cost, feasibility and constraints
• Drive levelised energy cost and value improvements by challenging assumptions and exploring innovations
• Translate complex data into clear executive-level recommendations
• Build data-driven analyses and automation using Python and analytics platforms
• Create neutral reference cases to enable informed decisions on future technologies
