Job summary

Urban Outfitters Europe in Copenhagen seeks a creative Visual Merchandiser to lead in-store visuals, delivering inspiring, dynamic experiences and seasonal layouts with the display team.

You will drive sales through exceptional VM, collaborate with store managers and district coordinators, and share concepts across districts. Travel may be required to support multiple stores and maintain high merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of driving sales through excellent visual presentations and strong business acumen.
• Understanding of Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and strong organisational skills.
• Project and time management experience.
• A willingness to travel and be away from a home store for periods of time.
• Retail management experience with creative interests in fashion, art, and music.

Responsibilities

• Interpret company direction and current fashion trends to deliver creative VM solutions aligned to market needs.
• Actively seek outside inspiration and apply personal talent to develop unique perspectives to display concepts.
• Consistently lead and collaborate with the store manager and display coordinator for timely project execution.
• Proactively manage display concepts through time management, mapping, and clean execution.
• Communicate seasonal setups through quarterly photo layouts with district guidance.
• Implement VM initiatives, window schemes and styling directions to high standards.
• Communicate merchandising concepts and trends to store teams via meetings and boards.
• Inspire others to share ideas and work toward a common goal.
• Delegate projects while allowing others the creativity to succeed.
• Coach staff on merchandise placement, promotions, and business analysis.
• Facilitate shipment processing to maximise sales and keep areas organized.
