Job summary

Ellab A/S seeks a Calibration Technician to ensure instruments, gauges, and testing devices are calibrated accurately and provide reliable readings. Typical hours are 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime and travel.

You will maintain, test, and repair instrumentation and equipment across the team. The role requires technical experience or a related degree, strong Excel/Word skills, excellent English communication, and meticulous data recording.

Qualifications

  • Previous technical experience or related degree preferred.
  • Ability to maintain accurate calibration records and supporting documentation and understand calibration impact on data accuracy.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer, with experience using Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Strong written & speaking skills, fluent English and ability to explain to customers professionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute calibration procedures according to detailed specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret data to complete calibration procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair mechanical components.
  • Support and maintain rental and demo equipment inventory.
  • Support the rental equipment process.
  • Quote service/calibration to customers.
  • Ship products back to customers.

Job Brief
The Calibration Technician is responsible for making sure that instruments, gauges, and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings. The position will primarily work during normal business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but may require occasional off-hours and weekend work, and travel. The goal of the Calibration Technician is to maintain, test, and repair a variety of instrumentation and equipment.

Responsibilities and Authorities
The Calibration Technician is responsible for and has the authority to:

  • Executing calibration procedures and methods according to detailed specifications and technical requirements.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data and other information in order to complete calibration procedures.
  • Troubleshooting, installing, and repairing mechanical components.
  • Supporting and maintaining the rental and demo equipment inventory.
  • Supporting the rental equipment process.
  • Quoting service/calibration to customers.
  • Shipping products back to customers.

Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Previous technical experience or related degree preferred
  • Ability to maintain accurate calibration records and supporting documentation, with a clear understanding of calibration’s impact on data accuracy and reliability.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer, with experience using Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Strong written & speaking skills, with fluent English & comfort in explaining in a professional manner to customers
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to self-check workAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
