Job summary

Flying Tiger Copenhagen seeks a Product Development Manager to turn cultural moments into commercial products. You will lead a small team, shape the innovation roadmap, spot trends, explore regional assortments and drive collaborations from idea to launch.

You’ll balance creativity with commercial reality, work across Design, Buying and Franchise teams, and coach two Product Developers to grow and succeed in a fast-moving, international environment.

Qualifications

• Solid product development experience from lifestyle, home or consumer goods.
• Strong instinct for turning cultural trends into tangible product ideas.
• Experience with collaborations, licensing, partnerships or influencer-led products.
• Good commercial understanding of cost, pricing and margin.
• Test-and-learn mindset with decision-making in fast-moving environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of regional retail differences, ideally franchise models.
• Proven leadership and coaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and drive the innovation pipeline from formats to viral product ideas.
• Spot cultural and social trends and translate them into products people want.
• Lead collaborations with partners, licensors, influencers and cultural institutions from idea to launch.
• Adapt concepts to local markets while keeping a global brand expression.
• Turn ideas into clear briefs covering target customer, aesthetics, functionality and price.
• Collaborate with Design, Buying, Franchise teams and suppliers to move from idea to product.
• Balance creative ambition with cost, pricing and margin targets.
• Drive cross-functional reviews and ensure development, risk and compliance checks pass.
• Monitor performance of launches and apply insights to future ideas.
• Lead and develop two Product Developers, providing direction and growth opportunities.
