BRIC at the University of Copenhagen seeks an Associate Professor or Professor to lead an independent research group focused on translational diabetes research. The role combines group leadership with a senior researcher position at the Bartholin Institute and requires collaboration across institutions, with an expected 37 hours per week schedule.

50% time at Copenhagen University and 50% at Bartholin Institute and Department of Pathology.

Qualifications

• PhD with postdoctoral training and a track record of high-quality publications matching career stage.
• Leadership and educational experiences, collaboration experiences, and capabilities in outreach or technology transfer.

Responsabilités

• Establish an independent research program within translational diabetes research and publish high-quality work.
• Engage in outreach and knowledge sharing with society and funders.
• Develop the research group by attracting competitive funding and mentoring team members.
• Contribute to research-based teaching and examination within the group.
• Be involved in academic assessments and in local and international collaborations.
