Job summary

NIVI Development (NIVI-D) in Denmark is seeking a Clinical Immunologist to shape how immunology is integrated into NIVI-D's clinical and translational vaccine development. You will collaborate with NIVI-R scientists, clinical teams and external lab partners to translate immunological insights into study design and vaccine development.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to endpoints, biobanking, assay development and data interpretation, with a focus on rigorous SOPs, data documentation

Qualifications

• MSc in immunology, vaccinology, infectious diseases or related field.
• PhD preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience with immunological assays, clinical samples and/or biobanking.
• Experience with assay development, optimisation or qualification.
• Strong analytical, systematic and problem-solving skills in a clinical/translational context.
• Strong collaboration and communication across academic, clinical and external laboratory environments.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Support biobanking strategy development and implementation.
• Develop and coordinate access to biobanked samples with scientific review and traceability.
• Define immunological endpoints and sampling strategies for studies.
• Translate methods into robust clinical/translational assays with SOPs and data documentation.
• Coordinate implementation and transfer of priority clinical immunology assays.
• Establish assay capacity with external partners and promote standardisation.
• Analyse immunological data alongside clinical and epidemiological data and translate findings.
• Participate in programme teams and contribute to publications and conference presentations.
