Job summary

NIVI Research in Copenhagen seeks a staff scientist for the Human Organoid facility to develop iPSC-based models and advance airway immunity research. This is a full-time 3-year position starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The role involves independent projects, protocol development, training, and collaboration across NIVI groups; salary follows the Danish state sector collective agreement with pension. Deadline: 25 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Requires Master of Science level or equivalent with PhD preferred in stem cell biology/immunology.
• Documented experience in advanced cell culture techniques.
• Ability to independently design, plan, execute and troubleshoot experiments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iPSC-based human cell and organoid models.
• Independently perform predefined research projects on immunity and airway biology.
• Develop and optimize organoid culture protocols and new models.
• Train staff and supervise students or junior researchers.
• Coordinate experiments with NIVI groups and manage facility planning.
