Job summary

Siemens Energy in Denmark is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead technical software projects across waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches. You will coordinate with outsourcing partners to deliver impactful software solutions for wind energy operations.

You will build and lead teams, plan timelines and budgets, manage risks, and ensure quality and security as you advance modern architectures and cloud-based services in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading software development projects.
• Proven expertise in agile project management (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong foundation in modern software architectures including edge computing and cloud.
• Experience in wind energy software, cybersecurity and architecture leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic updates for software projects in collaboration with Business units.
• Plan software updates and patching for wind farms.
• Coordinate with production to deploy SCADA software.
• Work with solution and test architects to ensure quality.
• Direct internal and external developers to support deployment.
• Develop detailed project timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure timely execution within budgets and resource constraints.
• Lead risk management to mitigate technical and operational challenges.
• Oversee end-to-end quality and align outcomes with business goals.
• Document project outcomes and delivered technologies.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Making a strategy for updating site together with Business units
• Detailed planning software updates and patching of wind farms.
• Collaborate with the production to ensure proper deployment of SCADA software.
• Ensure in cooperation with the solution architect and test architect
• Running team of internal and external software developers supporting the deployment
• Develop detailed plans for project timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure the timely execution of projects, maintaining adherence to budgets and resource constraints.
• Lead robust risk management practices to mitigate technical and operational challenges.
• Oversee the end-to-end quality, ensuring results meet project business goals.
• Ensure thorough documentation of project outcomes, including all delivered products or technologies.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience leading software development projects.
• Proven expertise in managing software projects using agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong foundation in modern software architectures, including edge computing and cloud-based solutions.

• Project Management (Excellence in planning and risk management)
• Cyber Security knowledge (IEC62443, NIS2) is an advantage.
