Job summary

Cetec Energy is seeking a Technical Assistant – Mechanical to ensure high-quality Material Master data in the ERP system, supporting procurement, maintenance and operations. The role focuses on reviewing mechanical descriptions, data accuracy and classifications.

The candidate will collaborate with technical teams to obtain approvals, coordinate corrections and maintain traceability of all updates, while leveraging knowledge of ERP systems and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical education background required.
• Experience with technical services, maintenance, procurement or master data management preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and vendor documentation.
• Familiarity with VDM and technical classification systems is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar maintenance systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate Material Master descriptions within the mechanical discipline.
• Verify VDM and other relevant technical information.
• Analyze and validate technical specifications, equipment data and documentation.
• Correct and improve master data quality, consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure correct classification, descriptions and technical attributes.
• Coordinate required corrections with relevant stakeholders.
• Obtain and track approvals for master data changes with technical teams.
• Submit approved updates for implementation in the ERP system.
• Follow up on changes to ensure timely completion.

• Familiarity with VDM and technical classification systems.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, or other maintenance systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, systematic approach.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
• High attention to detail and data quality.
