FOSS Global Sourcing in Frederikssund, Denmark, seeks a Tactical Purchaser to bridge customer demand with suppliers, building a strong supply chain for our new factory from day one. The role focuses on frame agreements, term negotiations, and ensuring on-time delivery at the right cost.

You will report to the Director of Global Sourcing, work with Category Managers, and maintain SAP master data while supporting production, quality and Finance to resolve issues and drive supplier performance.

Formación

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proven purchasing experience with strong commercial insight.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP and MS Office.

• Handle engineering change orders, supplier changes and phase-outs from a sourcing perspective.

• Maintain sourcing master data in SAP including prices, lead times and quantities.
• Collaborate with Category Managers on supplier reviews and improvement projects.
• Support regulatory compliance within sourcing and procurement.

We have just moved into our brand-new, state-of-the-art factory in Frederikssund — a strong foundation for our continued growth. In this role, you’ll help build a strong supply chain for the new factory from day one.

In the role as Tactical Purchaser, you will be the link between customer demand and suppliers — ensuring the right quality, on time and at the right cost. We’re looking for candidates with purchasing experience, strong commercial insight, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

What you will be doing

In the role of Tactical Purchaser at FOSS Global Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain sourcing strategies in alignment with the goals set by our Category Managers, ensuring our suppliers meet demand through efficient procurement processes.

You will report directly to the Director of Global Sourcing.

As a Tactical Purchaser, you will:

• Establish and manage long-term frame agreements to ensure consistent supply and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers and secure strong agreements.
• Handle Engineering Change Orders, supplier changes and phase-outs from a sourcing perspective.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery and cost, and drive supplier development.
• Support production and operations on delivery and quality issues, and resolve invoice issues with Finance.
• Maintain sourcing master data in SAP, including prices, lead times and quantities.
• Partner with Category Managers on supplier reviews, benchmarking and improvement projects.
• Support regulatory compliance within sourcing and procurement.

By fulfilling these tasks, you will play a key role in driving the efficiency and success of our global supply chain — helping FOSS continue to lead in innovative analytical instruments for the food industry.

What we hope to see you bring

We’re looking for a Tactical Purchaser with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field — or extensive purchasing experience with a technical background.

To succeed, you should bring:

• Drive and results focus – Self-motivated, independent and focused on following tasks through to results.
• Adaptability and problem-solving – Able to handle many different tasks and changing priorities and solve sourcing and supply issues pragmatically.
• Collaboration – Skilled at working cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, finance and suppliers.
• Procurement expertise – Solid experience with purchasing, supplier negotiations and frame agreements.
• Supply chain insight – Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, from supplier to production.
• Data and ERP skills – Confident in SAP (or a similar ERP system) and Excel, basing decisions on data.

Example position and educational background:

A candidate currently working as a Senior Buyer, Supply Chain Analyst, ERP Specialist, or Technical Buyer with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
