Job description

Drive Next-Generation Wind Turbine Systems as a System Lead
Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > Control HW Technical Management

We are seeking a System Lead to join our Auxiliary Power Agile Release Train (ART) and play a pivotal role in advancing a more model-based, architecture-driven, and systems-engineering approach to the development of next-generation wind turbine solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and integrating system architecture, requirements, functional models, interfaces, risk assessments, and verification strategies across multiple engineering disciplines. Acting as a key technical link between stakeholders, you will help ensure alignment and traceability throughout the product development lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future design, integration, and validation of Auxiliary Power Systems, contributing directly to the development of innovative, reliable, and high-performing wind energy solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead system-level requirements engineering, ensuring end-to-end traceability throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain system architectures, functional models, and engineering frameworks that support robust solution design
  • Drive functional decomposition and allocate requirements effectively across subsystems and engineering domains
  • Lead interface management and technical alignment across hardware, software, platform, and standing teams
  • Support the development of system architectures, technology roadmaps, and future product capabilities
  • Define and implement verification, validation, and system-level risk management strategies, including DFMEA and functional safety activities
  • Apply model-based systems engineering, simulation, and digital engineering practices while collaborating closely with Product Management, Architecture, Hardware, Software, Verification & Integration teams, and external partners to deliver integrated solutions
Qualifications
  • Systems Engineering and system-level product development
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering practices
  • Requirements Engineering, including requirements management and traceability
  • Functional Architecture, Functional Modelling, and system decomposition
  • System Integration, Verification, and Validation (V&V)
  • Reliability Engineering, Risk Assessment, and DFMEA methodologies
  • Development of complex hardware and software systems within industries such as renewable energy, industrial automation, control systems, power electronics, aerospace, automotive, rail, or similar sectors
Competencies
  • Strong Systems Engineering expertise with a holistic systems-thinking approach and system lifecycle perspective
  • Proven experience in Requirements Engineering, including requirements definition, allocation, and end-to-end traceability management
  • Solid understanding of system architecture development, functional decomposition, and functional modelling
  • Experience managing interfaces and technical dependencies across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Verification & Validation strategies, reliability engineering, and risk analysis methodologies such as DFMEA and FTA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and technical leadership skills within complex, cross-functional organizations
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Agile product development or technical domains such as renewable energy, industrial automation, control systems, power electronics, automotive, aerospace, rail, or similar industries
What We Offer

Join us on an exciting journey to strengthen Systems Engineering as a core capability and help shape the future of sustainable energy solutions.

You will collaborate with talented engineers across multiple disciplines, driving the development of next-generation technologies through a systems-oriented and architecture-driven approach. This role offers the opportunity to influence complex product development, bridge engineering domains, and contribute to the transformation of how innovative solutions are designed, integrated, and delivered.

If you are passionate about architecting complex systems, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and applying systems thinking to solve challenging engineering problems, we would love to hear from you.

Be part of building the engineering foundation that powers the future of renewable energy.
