Job summary

Trellis Group is seeking a Sustainability Engineer to drive environmental impact reduction and energy efficiency across facilities and supply chains. You will conduct modeling, ROI analyses, and performance benchmarking while collaborating with Real Estate, Design, and Growth teams to implement innovative, low-carbon solutions.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, data-driven decision making, and delivering tangible sustainability improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience with environmental engineering principles and sustainability concepts.
• Facilities engineering experience; LEED or building certification knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate engineering solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, waste, and water consumption.
• Model energy use, emissions, and resource flows; diagnose inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support evaluation and implementation of renewable energy options and low-carbon technologies.
• Be an advocate for innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact.
• Serve as technical SME on cross-functional sustainability projects.
