Job summary

UL Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner to join our Product Sustainability team in Europe. This customer-facing role delivers ISO-compliant LCAs, EPDs, and PCFs for global clients, leveraging advanced digital tools and decarbonization strategies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of LCA experience, relevant certifications, and strong knowledge of EU regulations (e.g., Battery Regulation, CBAM, EPR).

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in scientific discipline or engineering.
• Language requirement: Fluent in English and at least one other EMEA language.
• 5+ years of professional experience in senior-level LCA modeling with quantitative data analysis.
• Experience modeling EPDs from LCAs and knowledge of PCRs.
• Ability to scope client needs to support sales teams.
• Experience analyzing both experimental and modeled data sets.
• Strong understanding of LCA tools and standards including ISO series and EN standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform full LCA technical service to project manage LCA projects and ensure compliance.
• Generate LCAs and simplified EPDs, PCFs and regulatory documentation including EPR, CBAM, and PCR alignment.
• Understand global PCRs for core products, especially building materials.
• Manage complex projects and interact with customers, leadership and global colleagues.
• Provide data-driven LCA results to support decision-making and decarbonization efforts.
• Maintain knowledge base for LCA services including PCR, PCF, EPD, ISO/EN standards.
• Collaborate with clients to obtain datasets and contribute to as-a-technical lead in PCR discussions.
