Job summary

Ørsted is seeking a leader for the Generation Transmission Engineering team to set the technical direction for operating substations and strengthen engineering capability across regions.

You will shape maintenance strategies, reliability programmes, and asset integrity plans to optimise performance and lifecycle costs while guiding cross-regional teams and ensuring technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering/operations/asset management teams in a complex environment.
• Solid understanding of transmission systems across asset lifecycles.
• Strategic, proactive mindset; ability to define roadmaps and drive improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgement.
• Confident English written and spoken communication; effective across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership for the Generation Transmission Engineering team (LV Mechanical and HV).
• Manage team activity and priorities aligned with business goals to build core competencies.
• Ensure technical excellence, capability growth, succession planning and knowledge sharing across regions.
• Provide fleet-wide technical oversight for transmission systems in operating substations.
• Coordinate technical support for generation region engineering and asset transfer projects.
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance strategies, reliability programmes and asset integrity plans.
