Job summary

Weibel Scientific A/S in Denmark seeks a Sub System Architect to lead the architecture of critical radar subsystems, turning complex requirements into robust, production-ready designs.

You will guide interfaces, requirements flow-down, and cross-disciplinary reviews while coordinating with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software teams to ensure performance, reliability, and safety across pedestals, trailers, cooling, and power systems.

Qualifications

• Solidsystems engineering mindset and preferably a few years of experience from a similar role.
• Experience with functional decomposition, interfaces, requirements, verification/validation, and standards.
• Ability to createclear technical documentationand lead collaborative reviews.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the subsystem architecture: define purpose, scope, block diagrams, interfaces, BOM structure, and key design decisions.
• Requirements flow‑down & compliance: allocate system requirements to subsystem level, maintain compliance matrices/SoC, and support traceability through design, test, and verification.
• Interface leadership: specify and manage interfaces to neighboring subsystems and external equipment and ensure early alignment.
• Design coordination: collaborate with engineering disciplines Mechanical, Electrical and Software, to meet performance, reliability, maintainability, and safety requirements.
• Risk & change control: identify technical risks, propose mitigations, and manage changes while safeguarding architectural integrity.
• Integration & verification: support build, bring-up, test planning, environmental testing (shock, vibration, thermal), and verification reports.
• Reviews & communication: prepare architecture packages and lead design reviews. Communicate decisions and rationales to stakeholders, and ensure documentation is clear and ready for review.
