Job description

Are you passionate about leading subsystem designs and eager to shape world‑class Doppler radar systems in an international organization?

At Weibel, you will become part of a growing, technology-driven company where curiosity, innovation, and dedication are the foundation of our global success. We develop and manufacture advanced radar systems at our in‑house production facilities, enabling us to explore new solutions while maintaining uncompromising quality. Our greatest asset is our talented employees, who work in a modern environment and continuously advance our market‑leading radar solutions for applications such as air surveillance and 3D tracking.

We are strengthening our Antenna R&D Group and are looking for a Subsystem Architect to join us as we enter a new phase of growth.

About the position

As our new colleague, you will play a key role in the development of Radio Frequency (RF) system architectures. You will work closely with our systems engineering team and hardware designers across RF, analog, digital, and mechanical disciplines to ensure architectural coherence and the desired system‑level performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Development of RF system architectures, including antenna system decomposition and evaluation of conceptual implementation options for Tx and Rx front‑end chains.
  • Coordinating technical solutions across engineering teams, manufacturing representatives and project management while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Facilitating alignment on requirements with internal and external stakeholders including computation of link and power budgets.
  • Advancing technology roadmaps and platform direction to secure scalable, reusable solutions and ensure technical accountability across future deliveries.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our next‑generation radar platform architectures and play a central role in shaping future RF system solutions at Weibel.

About you

You thrive in an Agile environment, where you are able to work both independently and in close collaboration with your team and cross‑functional stakeholders. You value continuous learning and are comfortable operating in a dynamic R&D setting with multiple parallel activities, some requiring immediate attention and others progressing through structured project plans.

Your qualifications should include:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, preferably with specialization in radio frequency or microwave hardware designs.
  • A strong analytical mindset and the ability to drive system decomposition while maintaining a holistic perspective.
  • Experience with circuitry design from concept development through schematic design, layout, and verification.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements related to radio, safety, and EMC.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Experience with systems engineering methodologies and frameworks such as MBSE and SysML including related tools, will be considered an advantage.

Your new team

Our team consists of more than 10 engaged colleagues whose experience ranges from a few years to more than 35 years of hands‑on expertise in radar technology. The team is part of our broader cross‑functional Antenna R&D Group, which brings together architecture and design specialists.

Contact and application

If you have any questions about the position, you are very welcome to contact Engineering Manager, Adin Kanlic, at adk@weibel.dk.
