Assessk is seeking a Student Assistant in Aalborg to help expand our footprint in the Danish machinery and process industry. The role focuses on talking with engineers and managers to explore how Assessk can simplify risk assessment and CE documentation.
You will learn the product and gradually lead demonstrations, while staying true to the goal of addressing real customer needs. The position is 10–15 hours per week and on-site at our Aalborg office.
We are looking for a student to help us take Assessk further out into the Danish machinery and process industry.
And just to be clear from the beginning: this is not a classic student sales job.
We are looking for someone with a technical mindset who enjoys talking to people, is curious about machinery and wants to learn more about machinery safety, risk assessment and CE marking.
Assessk is a software tool for machinery risk assessment and CE documentation, built around EN ISO 12100 and the EU Machinery Regulation. It combines a structured engineering workflow with AI-assisted suggestions, while keeping the final technical decisions with the user.
Our main users are companies designing and building machinery, production equipment and process plants.
A big part of the role will be talking to people.
PS Engineering and Plant Supervision already work with a large number of industrial companies, and we would like someone who can help us reach out to these existing customers and have a simple conversation:
Could Assessk make their work with machinery safety and risk assessment easier?
You will gradually take responsibility for things such as:
You will not be expected to close commercial agreements. At least initially, the Product Director will take over when the dialogue reaches that point.
The goal is not to push software onto people who do not need it.
If Assessk solves a real problem for the customer, we continue the conversation. If it does not, that is perfectly fine too.
The ideal candidate is currently studying something along the lines of:
You do not need to be a machinery-safety expert already.
Experience with or knowledge of CE marking, EN ISO 12100, machinery safety or risk assessment is definitely an advantage, but we are much more interested in finding someone who wants to understand the subject properly.
We imagine that you:
You do not need to be a polished salesperson.
Actually, we would probably prefer that you are not.
This is a chance to get hands-on experience with subjects that are difficult to learn properly from a textbook alone.
You will work with:
Machinery safety and risk assessment
Learn how companies actually work with machinery hazards, risk reduction and EN ISO 12100.
CE marking and EU product legislation
Get practical exposure to how machinery manufacturers deal with compliance and technical documentation.
Real industrial customers
You will speak directly with machinery builders, process-equipment suppliers and other industrial companies.
Technical software and AI
Assessk combines traditional engineering methodology with AI-assisted functionality. The fundamental principle is simple: the software can suggest, but qualified people make the engineering decisions.
Customer dialogue and product demonstrations
You will learn how to understand a customer's problem, translate it into something practical and demonstrate a technical product in a way that actually makes sense to engineers.
There may also be opportunities to grow into other roles within PS Engineering or Plant Supervision as your studies and experience develop.
PS Engineering is a relatively small team within Plant Supervision.
That means there is not a long chain of approvals between having an idea and actually trying it.
The atmosphere is informal, there is room to speak your mind, and we generally prefer solving real customer problems over making things unnecessarily complicated.
The position is 10-15 hours per week and is based at our office in central Aalborg.
We are very flexible around lectures, projects and exam periods. As a starting point, however, we would like you to spend at one working day at the office between hours 08:00 and 16:00 every week, so you actually become part of the team and the everyday work around Assessk.
Salary: 145 DKK/hour
Start: No later than 01/11/2026
Location: Aalborg city centre
Hours: 10-15 hours/week
We review applications on an ongoing basis and will hire when we find the right person.
