Job summary

Systematic Aarhus invites a motivated student to join the QA Team as an Intern, starting February 2027 for five months, working on real healthcare and defence software. You will learn to analyze requirements, design test strategies, create and execute test cases, and report defects to improve our solutions.

The internship offers hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, GIT and TeamCity, plus a vibrant intern network and on-site perks at the Aarhus office.

Qualifications

  • You are currently studying Software Technology Engineering, Health Technology, or a similar program.
  • You value learning and are ready to contribute to real projects.
  • You speak and write English fluently; Danish is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings.
  • Manually test and qualify new features.
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, Domain advisors, and Project Managers.
  • Create and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories.
  • Report and clarify defects to improve our solutions.
  • Explore test automation possibilities (depending on team placement).
  • Create test designs and test strategies.
  • Participate in system test phases with the team.

Internship - Junior QA Engineer

Are you studying Software Technology Engineering or Health Technology and ready to gain hands-on experience with quality assurance in real-world projects? Join Systematic as a Software QA Engineer Intern and discover how your skills can make a real difference in critical Healthcare and Defence solutions.

The internship

As a member of the QA Team you will be a part of the development process from day one. As a QA you will learn to analyse requirements and needs, design test strategies and test cases, participate in risk analysis and be an essential part of the product development. As a QA intern you will be the guardian of high-quality in our software.

Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to work with tools and technologies such as JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, GIT, TeamCity. Don't worry – we don't expect you to be an expert already. What matters most is your curiosity and willingness to learn.

You will gain practical insight into risk analysis, learn how requirements translate into test cases, and understand how features are tested and qualified before reaching end users. Most importantly, you will see how the skills from your studies create real impact in live projects.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • participating in daily Scrum meetings
  • manually testing and qualifying new features
  • collaborating closely with QA Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, Domain advisors, and Project Managers
  • creating and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories
  • reporting and clarifying defects to help improve our solutions
  • exploring test automation possibilities (depending on your team placement)
  • creating test designs and test strategies
  • participate in system test phases alongside the team
Who we are looking for

You are currently studying Software Technology Engineering, Health Technology, or a similar program. Beyond your academic background, what matters most is your motivation to learn and your readiness to contribute.

You are likely to thrive in this role if you:

  • have a natural curiosity for analytical challenges and problem-solving
  • can work both independently and collaboratively
  • are structured in your approach and take responsibility for your tasks
  • speak and write English fluently (Danish is an advantage but not required)

This is a full-time internship lasting five months, starting on 1 February 2027. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a Danish study program and be based in Denmark during the internship period. The position is a paid if your study program allows.
