Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Strategy Director for Global Manufacturing & Supply IT to shape priorities and align business and technology at a global scale. You will partner with senior leaders, translate strategy into clear actions, and lead transformative programs across functions and regions.

As Strategy Director, Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) IT, you will help shape strategic priorities and strengthen decision-making across a complex global organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, you will connect business and technology, create alignment across organisational boundaries and turn strategic ambition into clear direction and action.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a strategic partner who fosters trust, align stakeholders, and creates clarity in ambiguous situations. To succeed, you will bring:

• Solid experience supporting senior leaders and leadership teams in a strategic, coordination or business partnering capacity, for example as a Chief of Staff, Senior Business Partner, Executive Assistant, management consultant or strategy professional.
• Strong stakeholder management across complex, matrixed organisations, with the ability to align diverse interests and influence outcomes without formal authority.
• A proven ability to influence senior leaders across functions and organizational boundaries, including VP and SVP-level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience shaping organizational strategy, operating models and leadership agendas in complex global organizations.
• A proven ability to structure ambiguity, connect competing priorities and translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex IT, digital and organisational topics into simple, business-relevant messages that land with senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder intelligence, with the ability to understand what matters to key partners, anticipate concerns and ensure the right people are involved early enough to create alignment.
• Track record of leading strategic transformation initiatives with measurable organizational impact.
• Experience with strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, business case development and investment governance.
• The confidence to act as a trusted sparring partner to the VP, challenging and strengthening thinking, communication and follow-through before key leadership forums.
• A confident approach to using AI to work more effectively and bring modern ways of working.
• Resilience, discretion and a calm, senior presence in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English at a professional level.
• A master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance or a related business discipline.

In Addition, It Is Valued If You Have

• Experience from large, global matrix organisations such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG or consulting.
• Familiarity with IT or Operational Technology (OT) environments.

What You’ll Do

You will act as the primary strategic coordination and integration point for the GMS IT Vice President and Leadership Team. The role is about ensuring the VP and Leadership Team operate with focus, clarity and influence, so GMS IT is seen as a strategic business partner across GMS and Enterprise IT. You will:

• Own the strategic planning process for GMS IT, ensuring priorities, investments, organizational capabilities and operating model decisions are aligned with GMS and Enterprise IT objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of GMS IT leadership effectiveness, governance, decision-making processes and organizational performance.
• Help position the GMS IT Vice President and Leadership Team as a strategic partner by shaping clear narratives, framing dilemmas, preparing decision points and translating priorities into executive messages.
• Anticipate upcoming leadership moments, stakeholder concerns and business planning needs, ensuring the VP and Leadership Team are prepared, aligned and influential in senior forums.
• Represent GMS IT in key cross-functional and enterprise forums, influencing decisions and priorities that impact GMS-wide technology and digital transformation initiatives.
• Actively engage key partners across GMS Business Support and Enterprise IT, ensuring they are brought in early and sufficiently involved in business planning and leadership team discussions.
• Drive the business planning processes in close collaboration with Finance, People & Organisation and other key functions.
• Serve as a member of the GMS IT Leadership Team, driving preparation, follow-up and execution of leadership meetings.
• Provide leadership and direction across the GMS IT Business Partner community, creating alignment and consistency in strategic planning, communications and execution across the organization.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans and prepare executive-level communications, leadership updates and strategic storylines that make GMS IT’s contribution visible and easy to understand.
• Drive follow-up on key initiatives, ensuring alignment and follow-through across functions and organisational levels.

In Global Manufacturing & Supply, colleagues work across the value chain to bring molecules, processes, devices and products to the people who need them. You will be part of GMS IT, a global organisation spread across the world, working closely with the GMS IT Vice President and Leadership Team. Your key partners will include Enterprise IT, GMS Business Support, Finance, People & Organisation, the broader Business Partner network and the Enterprise IT Executive Assistant network. You will need to know these partners well, understand how to bring them into the right discussions at the right time, and use that network to create stronger alignment around GMS IT priorities. You will navigate a complex matrix in a virtual setting with cultural awareness and agility, bringing different perspectives together to create clarity and momentum.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 940,800 to 1,448,700 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
