Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Sourcing Specialist – Operational Procurement to own supplier selection, negotiations and sourcing decisions across engineering projects. You will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain and Quality to secure reliable suppliers delivering quality components on schedule and at competitive terms.

With 5+ years of sourcing experience, you will drive category strategies, manage supplier performance and mitigate risks to support successful project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within sourcing, purchasing or procurement.
• Experience sourcing technical products, components or services.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience working in a project-based or engineering‑driven organization.
• A structured and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• A degree within Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for electronic components and related technical services across multiple projects.
• Drive supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract execution.
• Manage supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation actions to support project delivery.
• Contribute to category management and sourcing strategies in collaboration with Global Procurement.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align sourcing priorities with project requirements.
• Support the development of procurement processes, tools and ways of working.
