Job summary

JBT Marel in Aarhus seeks a Strategic Purchaser to manage selected component categories for our Aarhus production. You will work with Procurement, Production, Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain, combining strategic sourcing, supplier management and continuous improvement in a dynamic international setting.

You will drive category strategies, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance and contribute to cost reductions while collaborating across functions in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in manufacturing and with electrical components.
• Commercially strong with confident negotiations.
• Strong understanding of electronic components.
• Excel skills; SAP ECC and PLM experience are advantages.
• Fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken.

A key role in our procurement team

As Strategic Purchaser, you will play an important role in supporting JBT Marel’s growth journey by managing selected component categories for our Aarhus production.

You will join a strong and collaborative procurement team and work closely with colleagues across Procurement, Production, Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic international environment.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Category management incl. developing and executing procurement and supplier strategies -mainly for electrical components
• Contract negotiations and pricing agreements
• Supplier performance management and supplier consolidation
• Market analysis, benchmarking, and risk assessment
• Supporting development projects and production with procurement expertise
• Driving continuous improvements across procurement processes and data
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Supporting supply chain readiness for future growth ambitions
• Proactively monitor component lifecycle and availability

Who We Are Looking For

• Have 3–5 years of experience within strategic procurement, preferably in manufacturing and with electrical components
• Are commercially strong and confident in negotiations
• Strong understanding of electronic components
• Work analytically, proactively, and independently

• Proven ability to identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives, including experience with should-cost analysis and pricing models
• Have strong Excel skills; SAP ECC and PLM experience are an advantage
• Are fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken

Experience with technical specifications or electrical components is considered a significant advantage.
