Job description

Requisition ID 1375 - Posted - Lystrup - Denmark - Full Time - Entry level

Are you motivated by turning complex customer needs into robust technical solutions? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of technology, customers, and sales? If so, you could be our next Solution Engineer in Customer Solutions.

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Solution Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team

As our new Solution Engineer, you will act as the technical bridge between customers and Terma's radar organization. You will play a key role in defining and delivering the right solutions for our customers, working closely with colleagues across Sales, Program Management, R&D, and Customer Services.

The role combines systems engineering, customer interaction, solution design, and technical leadership. You will work with customer requirements, technical proposals, demonstrations, verification activities, and project support, ensuring that customer needs are translated into practical and competitive solutions.

You can expect a varied workday where priorities may shift as customers’ needs and project activities evolve. While many tasks require close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, you will also work independently and take ownership of your solutions.

You will join a team of twelve highly experienced engineers who are passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting each other's development. The team provides excellent opportunities for learning and peer-to-peer training, helping you build both technical and domain expertise.

Travel activity of approximately 30-50 days per year should be expected.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Our radar sensors are often at the core of larger surveillance solutions, integrating multiple subsystems to provide reliable situational awareness in all weather conditions. You will help turn customer needs into practical, verified solutions and support them throughout the sales and project lifecycle. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Define, document and verify customer solutions based on Terma’s radar portfolio
  • Translate customer needs into clear system and solution requirements
  • Support sales activities with technical presentations, demonstrations and customer meetings
  • Take responsibility for the technical aspects of bids and tenders
  • Provide technical advice throughout projects, from solution definition to verification and acceptance
  • Support service technicians and project teams with your technical expertise
  • Participate in testing, demonstrations and verification at customer sites, including airports, ports and naval platforms
Bring your world class expertise into play

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and experienced professionals. To succeed in this role, we imagine that you bring:

  • A relevant engineering degree or similar technical education or alternatively, a technical background combined with significant hands‑on experience with radar, surveillance, or sensor‑based systems
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement

  • Systems engineering or system‑of‑systems architecture
  • Radar, surveillance, or sensor‑based solutions
  • Customer requirement management
  • GIS tools, Python, or other data analysis tools
  • Technical project management, systems architecture, or technical leadership roles

As a person, you are curious, analytical, and motivated by solving complex technical challenges. You take ownership of your tasks and maintain a structured approach, even when priorities change. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across disciplines, while also being comfortable working independently. You build trust through a positive mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Most importantly, you can communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing. You combine strong technical insight with a customer-focused mindset and a genuine interest in finding practical solutions that create value for our customers.

We arean international company representing world‑class expertise, delivering complex and high‑tech products.
