Job description

Danske Bank is seeking a .NET Developer who is curious, collaborative, and committed to quality software. You will join our Risk Definition and Events squad within the Risk and Compliance Tribe, where you will contribute to important banking solutions alongside experienced colleagues.

The Risk and Compliance Tribe has a unique blend of business experts and IT specialists working together in agile teams. In our organization, teams are self-managed, entrusted to make key decisions, and crucial in driving end-to-end product and service delivery. Step into a world of collaboration, empowerment, and innovation, where you are not just part of the process, you are shaping it.

Shape the culture and ways of working

Our squad uses modern engineering practices, and you will work alongside engineers, business experts, and agile practitioners. You will have room to share ideas, learn from others, and take ownership based on your experience and strengths.

In the words of Mikkel Hindhede Refsgaard, the Product Owner of the squad: "As a developer in our squad, you will help build robust .NET solutions that support the future of banking. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, contribute your own ideas, and see how quality software creates real value for Risk and Compliance."

In this role, you will:
  • Develop, test, and maintain business applications using .NET and C#.
  • Build and integrate Web APIs that connect services and business solutions.
  • Work with experienced colleagues to design solutions using patterns such as N-tier, CQRS, Clean Architecture, and Onion Architecture.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to automated tests using TDD, DDD, and SOLID principles where appropriate.
  • Work with data and databases using Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL, including code-first and database-first approaches.
  • Use Git and CI/CD pipelines as part of the team's development and delivery process.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, including coding assistants and agents, to explore codebases, implement changes, write tests, and improve delivery while following the bank's security, compliance, and engineering standards.
  • Contribute to solutions using cloud and container technologies such as AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, KaaS, and .NET Aspire.
  • Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and continuous improvement of our solutions and ways of working.
