Job summary

SKJOLDET is a Danish fintech startup seeking a Software Developer to contribute to real features and learn from a hands-on team. You will help build systems that detect fraud before money is lost, collaborating with the CTO and colleagues from day one.

You will work on real-time data pipelines, frontend and backend components, and grow in a production environment tackling meaningful security and AI/ML challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering or computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and willingness to go deeper.
• Some backend development experience from jobs, studies, projects or internships.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and asking questions when stuck.
• Interest in AI/ML and how data solves real-world problems.
• Eagerness to grow in a startup where you take ownership.
• Experience in fintech, finance or regulated environments is a plus but not required.

ABOUT SKJOLDET

We are a Danish fintech startup turning the approach to digital fraud on its head. Imagine being able to convert a phishing site into a signal that could stop everyone from losing money to that exact scam. That's what we're working on. And why? We witnessed first‑hand how digital fraud hits ordinary people, especially those close to us, costing them both time and money. We decided to do something about it. Instead of reacting to fraud after the fact, we stop it proactively, outside the bank's systems, before the payment goes through. We are a small, ambitious team of two founders, developers and analysts, entering a new chapter of investment and scaling.

YOUR ROLE

As our Software Developer, you'll be an important part of a small, hands‑on technical team – contributing to real features, learning from experienced developers, and helping build systems that detect fraud before money is lost. You'll work closely with our CTO and the rest of the team, and from day one your work will have a real impact.

• Build and maintain features across our backend and frontend systems
