Responsibilities

• Build and repair walls, floors, patios, chimneys and other structures using bricks, stones and concrete blocks.
• Read blueprints or drawings to determine materials needed and layout of structures.
• Mix mortar or grout and apply it evenly between bricks or stones.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels and trowels to shape bricks or stones.
• Cut bricks or stones using saws or specialized tools.
• Install insulation materials to maintain temperature control in buildings.
• Ensure that all work meets safety regulations.
