Job summary

Solvexis Consult in Copenhagen is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator (SSC-B) to ensure a safe, compliant working environment on construction sites. You will coordinate health, safety, and logistics across contractors and project phases.

You will develop and maintain safety plans, lead toolbox talks, monitor daily operations, perform audits, suspend unsafe activities, and produce safety reports to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Solid experience coordinating construction sites with strong health & safety focus.
• Knowledge of EU and local health & safety regulations.
• Ability to lead safety meetings, audits, and contractor coordination.
• Experience preparing and updating safety documentation and reports.
• Decisive and able to suspend unsafe work when needed.
• Excellent communication with contractors, clients, and project teams.
• Analytical mindset to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.

Site Safety Coordinator (SSC-B) - Construction

Overall Purpose

As the Site Safety Coordinator (SSC-B), you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment on construction sites. Acting on behalf of the Owner/Client, you will proactively coordinate health, safety, and logistics across all contractors and project phases. Your work ensures compliance with EU and local legislation, protects workers, and enables smooth and efficient project execution from mobilization to handover.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate health, safety, and logistics in all common areas of the construction site.

Update and manage Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) and Site-Specific Logistic Plans (SSLP).

Lead design safety reviews and ensure safety is embedded in project planning and execution.

Organize and lead contractor start-up meetings, inductions, and toolbox talks.

Monitor daily operations, conduct safety audits, and ensure compliance with EU/local legislation.

Suspend unsafe activities and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Support site logistics, signage, and access control to maintain a safe work environment.

Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with contractors.

Produce regular safety reports, audits, and trend analyses to improve safety performance continuously.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Solid experience in construction site coordination and health & safety management.

Strong knowledge of relevant directives and local occupational health & safety regulations.

Proven ability to lead safety meetings, audits, and contractor coordination activities.

Skilled in preparing and updating safety documentation and reports.

Confident decision-maker, able to intervene and suspend unsafe work when required.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with contractors, clients, and project teams.

Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, propose countermeasures, and drive improvements.

Fluent in English (written and spoken). Danish language skills are an advantage but not required.
