Job summary

Tessero is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator (Arbejdsmiljøkoordinator / AMK) for a construction capacity expansion project. The assignment starts late 2026 and runs for about six months, with an initial commitment of a couple of days per week.

You will coordinate health and safety across design and construction, maintain the Plan for Safety and Health (PSS), conduct safety meetings, and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance and a proactive safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Danish Health & Safety Coordinator (AMK) training completed.
• 5–10 years of relevant construction or civil engineering experience.
• Experience across both the design and execution/construction phases.
• Strong experience with PSS, safety inspections and contractor coordination.
• Capable of leading safety meetings and managing disputes between contractors.
• Business-level Danish language skills (speaking and writing).

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator (Arbejdsmiljøkoordinator / AMK) for a construction project involving a capacity expansion.

The assignment is expected to start around end of 2026 and run for around 6 months. Initially, the task may demand a couple of days per week, reducing to approximately one day per week during the remainder of the project.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate health and safety across the design and construction phases
• Identify and mitigate risks through design and project planning
• Maintain the Plan for Safety and Health (PSS)
• Conduct and document safety meetings and site inspections
• Coordinate health and safety activities between contractors
• Follow up on safety issues and compliance
• Support a proactive and collaborative safety culture on site

We are looking for someone who:

• Has completed the mandatory Danish Health & Safety Coordinator (AMK) training
• Has 5–10 years of relevant experience from construction or civil engineering projects
• Has experience across both the design and execution/construction phases
• Has strong experience with PSS, safety inspections and contractor coordination
• Can confidently lead safety meetings and manage disputes between contractors
• Speaks and writes Danish at a business level

A background as a construction engineer, engineer, architect, construction manager, project manager or similar would be highly relevant.
