Apply for the Shift Manager role at McDonald’s.
This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but it is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. All employment matters—hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling—are handled by the franchisee, not by McDonald’s USA.
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Shift Managers also plan each shift, monitor performance in real time, take corrective action to meet McDonald’s standards, maintain safety, security, and profitability, and communicate hand‑offs to the next Shift Manager. They may be responsible for achieving performance targets and helping departmental teams meet their goals.
Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Candidates should be positive team players with a flexible schedule who thrive in the fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. Applicants must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
